Christel Heinelt

In 2008, after almost eight years as a design force running her successful, and highly respected business, Lushart, a Bay Area decorative painting and mural company, Christel Heinelt embarked on her own path as a sole entrepreneur.

As a native San Franciscan, and graduate of the Academy of Art University, Christel's early introduction to fine art, sculpture, photography, painting and interior design began to guide her vision of interior space population. After graduating, she spent the next eight years living, traveling, and working in Europe, spending a great amount of those years in Germany, where she completed a year of graduate studies in Art History.

Christel's education and exposure to the European design have been an invaluable element in her design work. She had the opportunity, in the fall of 2007, to realize her design vision at the 2007 DIFFA Dining By Design Benefit (The Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS).

"I created a dining environment, entitled "Marie Antoinette: Life In A Fishbowl," which incorporated state-of-the-art digital graphic technology and the KoroGraphics vinyl wallcovering Abaco Beach. My designs were fabricated into wallcovering, floor covering, and conceptual upholstery.

"I was privileged in the Fall of 2008 to have been sponsored by the Richard J. Fasenmyer Foundation, and to have represented the RJF International Corporation as a Venue Designer for the DIFFA Dining By Design Event."

The 2008 Venue Design featured an Ice Cave, entitled: Inner Sanctum, incorporating cutting-edge graphic technology and the KoroGraphics Vinyl Glassed Out Wallcovering.

"I am delighted at the present opportunity I have had to work with the RJF International Corporation, and this innovative, state-of-the-art wallcovering technology."

Christel's Dining By Design Venue 2007 was featured in the February 2008 issue of 7x7 Magazine. Her 2008 Venue is featured in the February 2009 issue of the San Francisco-based 7x7 Magazine and the February 2009 issue of California Home and Design.
